Checklist: What to prepare?

Before starting your journey in ESDI, make sure you’ve got everything ready!

 

Here’s a practical checklist to help you prepare:

Documents

  • Valid passport (check expiration date)
  • Visa (if required)
  • Acceptance Letter from ESDI
  • Health insurance certificate
  • Proof of accommodation
  • Flight tickets / travel plan
  • Emergency contacts (family, ESDI International Office)

Essentials & Practical Items

  • Medications you regularly use + prescriptions
  • Laptop and chargers
  • Adaptors for Spanish plugs (Type F, 230V)
  • Headphones, USB drives, etc.

Finances

  • Bank card that works internationally
  • Some cash in euros for the first days (approx. 100–150 €)

Housing

  • Confirm your accommodation address
  • Check move-in date and contact person

Personal

Tip: Keep digital copies of all your documents in your email or cloud storage.

  • Clothes for warm and cool weather (Barcelona winters are mild, but not tropical!)
  • Personal care items
  • Small gifts or souvenirs from your country (a great icebreaker with your Buddy!)
