TEXTILE DESIGN FOUNDATION
The mission of the Fundació del Disseny Tèxtil (FUNDIT) is to support and promote the industry through design and innovation, with an international outlook balanced by territorial equality, providing the necessary pedagogical tools to train people capable of redesigning and transforming the world.
The Foundation
The Textile Design Foundation (FUNDIT) is the owner of ESDI and is responsible for defining its mission, values, and strategic lines of action. Established as a private, non-profit foundation, FUNDIT aims to promote higher education in design and the arts, fostering knowledge, innovation, and social transformation through education.
Unlike other educational organizations, ESDI has no owners, but rather founders. This means that all generated resources are reinvested in improving academic quality, facilities, research, and student support. FUNDIT operates within a framework of transparency and good governance, overseen by the Foundation Protectorate, guaranteeing compliance with its founding objectives.
Vision and Values
The Textile Design Foundation (FUNDIT) seeks to consolidate ESDI as a higher education institution in design, focusing on teaching quality and educational experience, to train people who can develop in the field of design and innovation and be references throughout their professional life, while seeking to promote applied research to share knowledge with the industry and evolve together by solving needs and challenges.
