At ESDI, you can choose to improve your Catalan and/or Spanish skills through different options.
Learn Catalan
If you’re interested in learning Catalan, you can take part in free Catalan courses subsidised by the Catalan Government.
– Online option: Parla.cat is an interactive platform with self-study and tutored courses at all levels (A1 to C1).
– On-site classes: The Consorci per a la Normalització Lingüística (CPNL) also offers free Catalan courses for beginners (levels A1 and A2), perfect for international students who want to start learning the language from scratch.
Catalan is closely related to Spanish and French, you’ll be surprised how quickly you start understanding it!
Learn Spanish
If you’d like to improve your Spanish, there are several private and public language schools in Sabadell and Barcelona, offering flexible schedules and student discounts.

– Instituto Cervantes – internationally recognised Spanish courses and certifications.
