On June 30th, ESDI Higher School of Design , affiliated with Ramon Llull University, held another edition of the ESDI Degree Fashion Show in an unexpected yet evocative location: the underground parking garage -2 at La Roca Village . Entitled LIMIT(LESS) , the show presented the final collections of students from the Bachelor’s Degree in Design with a specialization in fashion, transforming the space into an immersive runway dedicated to new perspectives in design.
A hyperconnected generation that builds its creative identity from the individual, but always in dialogue with the collective.
This edition of the ESDI Degree Fashion Show 2026 stemmed from a reflection on the relationship between the individual and the collective. In a context marked by hyperconnectivity, LIMIT(LESS) focused on a generation of designers who develop their creativity from deeply personal perspectives, without losing sight of the community that surrounds them.
The set design translated this concept into space through a fragmented composition, formed by distinct zones defined by chairs and black carpeting, almost like open rooms within a single route. Each collection inhabited its own territory, but at the same time formed part of a common narrative: a shared experience where creative identities met, evolved, and expanded.
A fashion show to celebrate ESDI’s emerging talent
The event was presented by photographer and content creator Àlex Grimà and featured a professional jury responsible for awarding the prize to the best collection among the six finalist proposals.
The jury consisted of Cristina Viollaz , business director of La Roca Village; Martín Torres , co-founder of Editorial Superflua ; Arnau Climent , ESDI alumnus and founder of the AAA Studio brand; and Paula Viana , content creator, founder of Spain Gallery and also an ESDI alumnus.
“Una Lástima” by Andrea Criado, winner of the award for best collection
The award for best collection went to designer Andrea Criado for her project “Una Lástima” (A Shame) , a proposal that explores the moment when a traumatic event bursts into a person’s life and alters their emotional stability.
“A Pity” turns mold into a metaphor for trauma: a silent presence that appears, spreads and transforms what it inhabits.
Rather than focusing on the recovery process, the collection turns its gaze toward the consequences of trauma that remains unrecognized, unprocessed, or unmanaged. A silent presence that, over time, continues to grow and affect identity, emotions, and how one relates to the environment.
Formally, “Una Lástima” (A Shame) works with turned-out garments, altered silhouettes, unexpected volumes, and a visual atmosphere marked by progressive deterioration. Through this symbolism, Andrea Criado constructs a collection of great emotional weight, where the appearance of normality coexists with that which remains latent beneath the surface.

Furthermore, Andrea Criado has been one of the designers selected to represent ESDI at the Cruïlla Festival on July 10, within the proposal “080 x Cruïlla: Projecting Talent” , promoted by 080 Barcelona Fashion .
On this catwalk, conceived by ESDI and which will bring together students from different fashion schools in Barcelona, the designer will present a selection of four looks from “Una Lástima” , thus consolidating the projection of a collection that continues to grow beyond the academic sphere.

During the event, presenter Àlex Grimà interviewed the finalist students, who shared the concept behind each of their collections with the audience. Through these conversations, the selected designers were able to explain their influences, creative processes, and the concerns that shaped their final designs.
