ESDI will once again take part in Cruïlla Festival 2026, this time with 080 Barcelona Fashion, in an edition that expands the presence of emerging fashion within the festival.
The initiative builds on the path opened by ESDI last year, when the school proposed bringing fashion closer to Cruïlla Festival by holding the ESDI Degree Fashion Show 2025 there. One year later, 080 Barcelona Fashion is taking the lead in the organisation and broadening the project, turning it into a collective runway show aimed at giving visibility to the city’s young creative talent.
Under the title “080 x Cruïlla: Proyectando Talento” , the Bonpreu stage will be transformed into a catwalk dedicated to the new generation of designers. Students from different fashion schools in Barcelona will present four looks each, highlighting the attitude, identity and personal vision of each creator. The event will take place on Friday, July 10, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., as part of the Cruïlla Festival.
This year, ESDI will be represented by Erika Muntada, Andrea Criado and Aina Llonch, who will present a selection of their final fashion projects on the runway.
Andrea Criado will show with “Una Lástima”, a project that addresses dissociation as a psychological response to a traumatic event. A collection focused on the impact of trauma, the alterations it causes and its representation through rot. Una Lástima was recognised with the award for Best Collection at the ESDI Degree Fashion Show 2026: Limit(less), held last June 30 in La Roca Village.
Erika Muntada will present “D’es Retorn”, a collection that explores retropia, the contemporary tendency to look to the past before the uncertainty of the future. Through the metaphor of the lighthouse as a symbol of memory, orientation and nostalgia, the project reinterprets traditional marine clothing from a current perspective, combining functional pieces, technical fabrics and aged finishes.
Aina Llonch will bring “VITA” to Cruïlla, a proposal born from a personal and family relationship with light. The collection investigates how light can alter the perception of the body through shadow, transparency, reflection and the construction of the body canon, materializing in a feminine proposal that incorporates translucent fabrics, multi-positional systems and handcrafted glass accessories.
With this participation, ESDI consolidates its link with the Cruïlla Festival and with an initiative that connects design, culture and the city, bringing the emerging talent of its classrooms to an open, multidisciplinary context with great public projection.
