On June 2, 2026, ESDI will hold the ‘FADING’ fashion show on Passeig de la Plaça Major in Sabadell, presenting the projects of second-year students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Design, specialising in Fashion Design.

On June 2, 2026, at 9:21 p.m., ESDI will present “FADING,” a fashion show taking place on Passeig de la Plaça Major in Sabadell. The event will transform the city centre into an open-air catwalk, showcasing projects developed by second-year students of Fashion Design in a creative proposal marked by transformation, colour, and experimentation.

The show draws on concepts such as fusion, manipulation, transition, transformation, intervention, craftsmanship, alteration and mutation. Through these ideas, “FADING” presents fashion as a living language, capable of absorbing influences, transforming codes and constructing new visual identities.
The proposal understands cultural exchange as a tool for mutation: a process that enables the creation of new, hybrid cultural forms through fusion. From this perspective, the show invites reflection on how references, materials, colours and techniques blend to generate new forms of expression.

“FADING” is part of Stand by, a project developed by ESDI’s Color Lab for the Intercolor 2027/1 international colour congress. This research invites us to explore boredom, silence and pause not as emptiness, but as fertile ground for focusing our gaze, momentarily escaping hyperconnectivity and capturing what transcends the immediate. The project stems from a critical reflection on social media, constant exposure and the effects of cultural globalisation on our daily lives.

Within this conceptual framework, “FADING” represents the present and the direct effects of cultural globalisation. Its colour palette explores phenomena of blurring and desaturation as a metaphor for cultural mixing and recombination in a globalised context. The palette works with warm tones, pinks and violets, combined with orange, copper, and iridescent hues, generating a dense, dynamic vision in constant transformation.
