KEY INFORMATION

Curriculum

The Bachelor’s Degree in Design curriculum comprises 240 credits, structured into four years of 60 credits each. The first two years consist of Compulsory (O) and Basic Training (FB) courses, common to all specializations. However, some courses already cover specific content and include assignments and activities related to the specialization.

Fashion-specific elective courses are taught from the third year onwards and delve deeper into the theoretical and practical knowledge specific to each specialization. These courses are complemented by mandatory internships in companies and the completion of a final degree project.

These are the specific elective subjects for the Fashion specialization:

Final Degree Project

The Final Degree Project in the Fashion Design specialization is the culmination of the program, where students apply everything they have learned to create a complete and personal collection. Through a process that integrates research, conceptualization, design, pattern making, and styling and image, each student develops their own project that reflects their creative identity and vision of fashion.

Company Internships

At ESDI, we have collaboration agreements with all types of companies in the fashion sector and its different areas: women’s, men’s, children’s, accessories, denim, athleisure, bridal, leather, production companies, agencies, etc. Fashion students have completed curricular (mandatory) and extracurricular internships at companies such as:

Career Opportunities

The Fashion Design Specialization prepares students to carry out their professional activity in different areas of the sector, linked both to the creation and development of collections as well as to the management and communication of fashion projects and brands.

Projects with Companies

ESDI’s history is deeply intertwined with business. The school was born out of industry needs and was founded thanks to the support of over 90 business associations and leading companies in the sector. We believe in the University-Business partnership as a way to enhance talent acquisition and promote the practical application of students’ knowledge.

At ESDI, from the very first year, you will take part in real projects with companies and institutions, which will give you an assignment that you will have to complete and present to them.

“Right after graduating, I decided to launch my own brand and start professionalizing everything I had been working on at university. During my studies, I had the opportunity to work within the industry: lending my clothes to magazines and stylists, and even working with Palomo Spain. My internship with him and his team was the perfect experience to see and learn how an independent brand operates. My drive and confidence in my vision led me to collaborate with renowned designers and debut on the Madrid runway, although that wasn’t my first show. I already had experience with Palomo and also with the ESDI Degree Fashion Show, where I presented my graduation collection before everything else happened, which helped me take my first step into the Barcelona fashion scene.”

“ESDI was a great source of advice and analysis regarding the experience of merging different disciplines, in ways of pattern making and creating, in ways of seeing fashion, both from a more business and creative point of view.”
