COURSE
SEWING AND PATTERN MAKING
The ESDI Sewing and Pattern Making Course introduces you to basic garment-making techniques through hands-on, guided training. You’ll learn to use tools, create simple patterns, and develop your first garments in a professional setting.
Introduction
Over 17 sessions (50 hours), you will acquire the essential knowledge to get started in the world of sewing: from using a sewing machine and reading patterns to making a classic shirt that you will then customize to your liking. You will learn to identify fabrics, cut pieces, perform basic and advanced sewing, insert zippers, and apply design details.
This course combines technical learning and creativity, guided by pattern maker and designer Rubén Carreto, who will accompany you step by step so you can develop autonomy and confidence in the workshop. Upon completion, you will have the necessary skills to transform your ideas into real garments with a professional finish, and you will receive a certificate from ESDI Escola Superior de Disseny.
