COURSE DESCRIPTION

The subject provides students with a comprehensive approach to the professional environment of design, addressing both business management tools and the ethical and strategic principles that govern professional practice.

Through the study of aspects such as the business plan, budget, business strategy, marketing, and product launch, the subject aims to help students develop key skills to face the challenges of the current market with autonomy, responsibility, and effectiveness.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Identify the sociocultural impact when designing a product, service and experience strategy that contributes to the development of society.
  • Recognize the historical background related to the evolution of everyday objects, with the purpose of identifying ethical, aesthetic and cultural aspects.
  • Prepare oral, written, and visual presentations that reflect the historical evolution of design proposals made in a specific sociocultural context.
  • To accurately and comprehensibly convey the planning and stages of a design proposal, using the specific resources of the design field, to the various actors involved in its execution (clients, suppliers, manufacturers, sales and other interested parties), developing a business proposal with the tools of the business environment and fabric.
