Reflexions, the project of ESDI students at LLUMBCN 2025

ESDI students have the opportunity to present their innovative project “Reflexions” at LLUMBCN 2025, an event that celebrates art and creativity through light in Barcelona.

About “Reflexions”
Light has the power to reveal and transform the ordinary into a new reality. As part of LLUM BCN 2025, the Reflexions installation emerges as a critical mirror of society, inviting us to look beyond what is visible at first glance.

At first sight, the setting appears familiar: a collection of everyday furniture—chairs, tables, sofas, lamps—just like those found in any home. However, beneath its silent and inert appearance lies a profound reflection. When the viewer approaches and directs the light in the right way, the installation unveils what usually remains hidden: a reminder of the social issues related to housing.

In a society where accessing decent housing has become an increasingly difficult challenge, Reflexions brings this reality to light. Light, the central element of the installation, symbolizes awareness and action—only when we activate it do the hidden truths emerge.

Thus, the piece is not just a visual spectacle but also an invitation to debate:
🔹 What does the concept of home mean to each of us?
🔹 How can we make these issues more visible?
🔹 What solutions can we find as a society?

Ultimately, Reflexions highlights that only by illuminating what remains in the dark can we begin to create change.
