On Monday, 7 April at 18:30, the ESDI-Higher School of Design, a centre affiliated to Ramon Llull University, will present an exhibition of projects carried out by its fashion students in the showroom of the leather company Inter Leather, located at C/ Brusi, 39 in Barcelona. The exhibition is part of the activities promoted within the framework of the collaboration agreement signed between the two entities, intending to promote creative talent and strengthen ties between university and industry, as well as promoting research, development and exhibition of garments and proposals in leather.
The pieces that will be exhibited have been designed by the third-year students of the ESDI-URL Bachelor’s in Design (Fashion specialization), who have created two capsule collections with leathers provided by INTER LEATHER. The event will not only present the garments, but also the books of the creative process and the visual pieces developed by ESDI students, who are also part of the project.
The projects that will be presented are based on an interdisciplinary approach, combining garment creation with craft processes, research into materials, and art direction. The activity will highlight both the quality of the students’ work and the fundamental role that collaboration between schools and companies plays in the development of future design professionals.
With this initiative, ESDI and INTER LEATHER reinforce their commitment to quality training, connected to the realities of the industry and aimed at promoting innovation from the classroom. This commitment also includes the creation of the JOAN GALLÉS SCHOLARSHIP that INTER LEATHER will award to a student of the Bachelor’s in Design (Interior Design specialization) at ESDI, which will be presented at the same event, and which will consist of a 50% discount to attend the 4th year of university based on academic merit and potential talent.
