ESDI students will be responsible for designing the Yamaha Light Meeting Point for the upcoming Llum BCN 2024.
Llum BCN is a leading European festival in the field of light art and a highly anticipated cultural event for the citizens of Barcelona. Organised by the Barcelona City Council, the festival brings together the work of creators from a variety of visual arts disciplines, including contemporary art, design, architecture, and lighting technology.
A total of 17 design schools from Barcelona and nearly 90 students took part in a workshop organised by the ICUB and sponsored by Yamaha, aimed at creating a light installation that will become a unique meeting point during the festival.
After presenting their projects, the jury, composed of representatives from ICUB, the artistic direction of Llum BCN, and Yamaha, selected the winning design, which will be featured in the next edition of Llum BCN in 2025.
