ESDI has been awarded the Floc de Llana Prize , an award given by the Sabadell Manufacturers Guild / Foundation for Industry within the framework of the Sant Sebastià festivities, patron saint of the textile industry.
This award recognizes ESDI’s trajectory as a leading institution in design, innovation and training, as well as its close connection with the industrial and creative fabric of the territory.
A recognition of innovation and commitment to the territory
The Manufacturers’ Guild has recognized ESDI along with Banco Sabadell, Tintes Industriales Moix SA (TIMSA) and the Eveho Foundation, highlighting these entities as examples of continuity, innovation and commitment to the economic and social development of Vallès Occidental .
The awards ceremony was held at the Guild’s headquarters and brought together a broad representation of Sabadell’s business and institutional ecosystem. The ceremony was presided over by the Secretary of Economy and Finance of the Government of Catalonia, Juli Fernández, and the Mayor of Sabadell, Marta Farrés, who emphasized the key role of the region as an economic and creative engine.
Design as a strategic tool for industry
During the event, the president of the Manufacturers’ Guild, Esteve Gené, emphasized the impact of digitalization and artificial intelligence on the industry, highlighting the ability of the business fabric to adapt to new challenges.
On behalf of ESDI, the president of the Textile Design Foundation (FUNDIT), Carlos Casanovas Dosrius, accepted the award and highlighted its symbolic value:
