ESDI celebrates ‘PULSIÓN’, a fashion show at the BMC Barcelona Moda Center

On June 12, we held the PULSIÓN fashion show at the BMC Barcelona Moda Center. At this event, the 2nd year students of the Degree in Design, Fashion mention, presented a total of 26 looks designed and made by themselves. The event had more than 300 attendees, filling all the chairs arranged in the hall of the building.

The name ‘PULSIÓN’ refers to a trend for the spring/summer 2025 season, developed by ESDI Color Lab. Based on a sociological and semantic analysis, the team identifies changes in lifestyles and trends within the sociocultural imaginary, which then translate into the language of color.

‘PULSIÓN’ is proposed as a response to the current permacrisis situation. This drive, arising from the fear of losing social ties, turns us into new flexible nomads, who live ephemeral experiences and seek pleasure in multisensory but volatile activities.

Under this concept, the 26 ESDI Fashion students have worked looking for metaphors in volumes, colors and shapes.

The students have materialized the proposals by redefining fabrics provided mostly by the bridal fashion brand, Pronovias, and the dye and finish company Utexta, with which they have been able to experiment. In addition to the BMC Barcelona Moda Center, Pronovias and Utexta, the event also had the collaboration of the makeup school Sole Cester, Digital Print and Qmonas.
