The exhibition from the 9th Vallès Architecture Exhibition continues its tour of the region’s municipalities. After being displayed during Sabadell’s annual festival, it can be enjoyed at the Sabadell ESDI from September 10 to October 11.
This exhibition, which covers the 2019-2022 period, featured a total of 82 works, of which 23 were selected and three were highlighted.
The three featured projects in this year’s edition are the new headquarters of the Teixidors Cooperative in Terrassa, by the architectural firm ARQBAG SCCL (Bernat Colomé, Marc Díaz, Adrià Vilajoana, Jordi Mitjans, and Alfonso Godoy); Casa 1721 in Granollers, by HARQUITECTOS (Xavier Ros, David Lorente, Josep Ricart, and Roger Tudó); and the La Cubierta Boxing School in Badia del Vallès, by architect DANIEL SERRANO.
The City of Terrassa Award for Urban Landscape Improvement went to the rehabilitation of the Saphil Chimney by the firm BIS ARQUITECTOS DAVID GARCIA SLP for the care and craftsmanship with which they worked on this protected element (BCIL).
The objective of the COAC Architecture Exhibitions is to highlight the work of architects and disseminate the most relevant architecture in the region. Furthermore, it helps to create a documentary collection and recognize and encourage the efforts of the authors and stakeholders involved. Furthermore, the Architecture Exhibition not only makes it possible to showcase, disseminate, and compile the work of architects with varied sensibilities, experiences, and professional goals, but also to analyze and survey the needs, improvements, and developments of society, not only in the architectural and construction fields, but also in the social, cultural, symbolic, and opportunity-based fields of the last four years.
This exhibition brings together, in a playful and flexible way, the different works presented, reproduced on a series of panels located in the different modules that make up the exhibition, inviting visitors to interact and discover the material on display.
