Oriol Gómez, winner of the Promoviatges Award for the 2026 catalog design

ESDI recently celebrated the awarding of the Promoviatges Prize for the winning project developed in the Fundamentals of Projection course, an initiative that highlights the creative talent of first-year students.

The project showcases the work done by students in designing the front and back covers of the Promoviatges catalog, aiming to create a graphic proposal with a real application: becoming the official image of next year’s catalog. An exercise that connects the classroom with the professional environment and encourages a strategic and conceptual approach to design.

On December 15, the list of semifinalists was announced: Valeria Morera, Luna Morales, and Oriol Gómez, selected for the conceptual strength of their proposals.

After the final evaluation process, the jury chose the proposal of Oriol Gómez, a student of the Degree in Design, Graphic specialization, as the winning project. His design will be the one ultimately used in the Promoviatges catalog to be published next year. The proposal stands out for its intent to reinforce feelings of connection, discovery, and joy—values associated with the travel experience—through a flat, clear, and contemporary design.

The prize was presented by the Promoviatges team, who wanted to acknowledge the creative and conceptual value of the project. As recognition for his work, Oriol was awarded a trip to London for himself and a companion, including a visit to the Design Museum. The prize is valued at approximately €650 and represents an experience directly linked to the world of design and visual culture.

These types of collaborations reinforce ESDI’s commitment to education connected with professional reality, where academic projects become real opportunities to grow, experiment, and showcase emerging talent.
