COURSE DESCRIPTION

The course focuses on applying design methodology through briefs provided by the faculty, simulating real-world professional work environments. The goal is for students to develop the ability to approach increasingly complex design projects, integrating contextual analysis , informed decision-making, technical and conceptual planning, as well as criteria of sustainability, usability, and social responsibility.

The course also requires the cross-curricular application of content acquired in other subjects, promoting an integrated understanding of the design process.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Determine the relevant existing conditions in a project.
  • Analyze the collected data to justify decision-making based on the results obtained.
  • Presents ideas, problems or design proposals orally and visually using language, resources and codes specific to the profession to both specialized and non-specialized audiences.
  • Communicate the resolution and phases of a project proposal, relying on the resources specific to the design specialty, to the different agents involved in its execution (clients, suppliers and manufacturers).
  • Demonstrate collaborative work skills and leadership in both teams made up of diverse areas of knowledge and in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Analyze, conceptualize and formalize proposals for products, services or experiences.
