KEY INFORMATION

Curriculum

The Bachelor’s Degree in Design curriculum comprises 240 credits, structured into four years of 60 credits each. The first two years consist of Compulsory (O) and Basic Training (FB) courses, common to all specializations. However, some courses already cover specific content and include assignments and activities related to the chosen specialization.

The Product-specif elective subjects (OP) are taught from the third year onward and delve deeper into the theoretical and practical knowledge specific to the specialization. These courses are complemented by mandatory internships in companies and the completion of a Final Degree Project.

These are the specific elective subjects for the Product Design specialization:

Final Degree Project

The Final Degree Project in the specialization of Product Design is the space where students integrate all their learning into the development of their own project. Through research, prototyping, and experimentation with materials and technologies, each student conceives a product that reflects their identity as a designer and responds to real needs.

Company Internships

At ESDI, we have collaboration agreements with all types of companies in the product design sector and its various areas: industrial design, furniture, lighting, packaging, digital manufacturing, automotive, etc. Students specializing in product design have completed their curricular (mandatory) and extracurricular internships at companies and studios such as:

Career Opportunities

The specialization in Product Design prepares students to carry out their professional activity in different areas of the sector, linked to both industrial and furniture design as well as technological and sustainable innovation.

Projects with Companies

ESDI’s history is deeply intertwined with business. The school was born out of industry needs and was founded thanks to the support of over 90 business associations and leading companies in the sector. We believe in the University-Business partnership as a way to enhance talent acquisition and promote the practical application of students’ knowledge.

At ESDI, from the very first year, you will take part in real projects with companies and institutions, which will give you an assignment that you will have to complete and present to them.
