The ESDI lobby hosts the exhibition Atlas: memory and archive during the month of May, a show that brings together the works of six students of the Master’s Degree in Digital Art Curation at ESDI. The exhibition is the result of the work developed during the Seminar on Conservation and Archiving, taught by Núria Nia, within the framework of the Seminar on Curating Practices and Management directed by Judith Méndez.
The exhibition presents a series of curatorial proposals that understand the archive as a critical, creative and deeply personal tool. Through their projects, the authors construct personal atlases that combine images, texts and digital materials and generate intimate, historical and poetic stories.
From nostalgia for the beginnings of the internet to neurodivergent experiences, family duels, symbolic journeys, reflections on digital privacy and memories of colonialism, each proposal offers a unique look at the multiple forms of archiving and memory.

Zhongyuan Zheng (Baotou, 1998) – Viajero de datos: collage that crosses the digital and the physical in a reflection on privacy and identity.
Carmen Castaño Casco (Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo, 2002) – Campo santo, cielo amargo: a photographic exploration of mourning and memory.
Manira Chaker (Lima, 1994) – Quién cuida a las que nos cuidan: a visual archeology of the consequences of colonialism in Peru.

An exhibition that is also an exercise in memory
Atlas: memory and archive not only makes visible the work developed in the master’s degree, but also proposes a collective reflection on the act of preserving, archiving and narrating. An opportunity to meet new curatorial voices that understand the archive not as a static place, but as a living tool for thinking, feeling and transforming the present.
The exhibition will be available from May 15 in the lobby of ESDI (Sabadell). Free admission.
