Carmen Teruel, ESDI alumni, wins the MOMAD Code 41 Talent Award at SIMA’41

Our alumna Carmen Teruel, known in the fashion world as Belimv, has been awarded the MOMAD Prize at Code 41 Talent, the competition that recognizes emerging designers during the 5th edition of the International Fashion Week of Andalusia (SIMA’41). This recognition comes thanks to her graduation collection, METALMORPHOSIS, an innovative proposal that captivated the jury.

The event culminated with the presentation of the Code 41 Talent awards, an initiative supported by MOMAD Madrid, the Andalusian Youth Institute (IAJ), the Higher School of Artistic Design (ESSDM), Flamentex, and Costa Rica Fashion Week. These awards represent a great opportunity for emerging designers seeking to boost their professional careers within the fashion industry.

Belimv’s collection was presented on Thursday, March 13th, at the Royal Artillery Factory in Seville, an iconic venue that has hosted high-profile fashion shows. As the winner of the MOMAD Award, Carmen Teruel will have the opportunity to showcase her work at an international event, granting her access to buyers, specialized press, and industry experts.

Since its inception in 2016, Code 41 Talent has established itself as a leading platform for emerging fashion in Spain. Through its various editions, it has served as a springboard for young designers, providing them with visibility and real opportunities in the industry. The award given to Carmen Teruel reinforces this commitment to innovation and emerging talent in the world of fashion.
