As part of the Barcelona Design Week 2024 OFF program, ESDI, together with Hansgrohe, will organize a roundtable discussion dedicated to water. The event will be moderated by the school’s professor, Manel Martínez Espuny, and will bring together experts in product design, interior design, and architecture.

The roundtable discussion will focus on water, following the theme of this year’s Barcelona Design Week. Barcelona, a city facing an unprecedented water scarcity emergency, provides the perfect setting for reflection to explore how design can contribute to accelerating the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and building a future in balance between the planet and human beings.
Barcelona Design Week is an opportunity to inspire, educate, and mobilize the local and global community, showcasing how design and creativity, applied mindfully, can be a powerful tool to address the critical challenge of water management and conservation.
Therefore, ESDI and hansgrohe have joined forces to organize a roundtable discussion with experts in sustainability, architecture, interior design, and product design, who will discuss innovative solutions applied to water consumption and management. The panelists will be:

Associate at Batlleiroig and a specialist in sustainability, Batlleiroig combines the practices of planning, landscape architecture, and architecture, committed to finding solutions to address the climate emergency and promoting responsible environmental intervention.

Founded by ESDI professors Ivan Mases and Anna Jané, this firm focuses on creating healthy and sustainable spaces, integrating the character of its environment and its clients with a strong commitment to energy efficiency.
