SPECIALISATION DIPLOMA
CREATIVE PROJECT MANAGEMENT
The Diploma in Project Management: Creative Project and Team Management at ESDI trains designers and creatives to plan, manage, and lead complex projects by integrating strategy, methodology, artificial intelligence, and team leadership, from a practical, real-world perspective.
Introduction
The creative sector is undergoing a transformation driven by digitalisation, artificial intelligence, and new ways of working that are redefining how creative projects are conceived, developed, and managed, requiring hybrid profiles capable of combining creativity, strategy, and technology. In this context, the role of the Project Manager becomes essential: leading multidisciplinary teams, structuring complex processes, and connecting creativity, business, and technology.
The Online Diploma in Project Management: Creative Project and Team Management at ESDI responds to this reality by offering training aimed at creatives who want to take the next step: leading and managing projects and teams from a comprehensive perspective. It proposes a new approach to management, where strategy, innovation, technology, and human and creative sensitivity are integrated to expand the professional scope of designers.

Curriculum
The programme is structured around two main pillars: advanced creative project management and the leadership and management of creative teams, which converge into a professional profile capable of connecting the operational and strategic dimensions of projects with the human and relational dimension of the teams that make them possible. Based on these pillars, the program is organised into 4 modules and 30 ECTS:
.
-
M1. PRINCIPLES AND FUNDAMENTALS OF THE PROJECT MANAGEMENT (3 ECTS).
Introduces the key principles of project management in creative contexts. It covers the project lifecycle, team roles, and the main working methodologies, including agile approaches (Agile, Scrum), traditional frameworks (PMI/PMBOK), and hybrid models, as well as an initial introduction to DesignOps.
-
M2. ADVANCED CREATIVE PROJECT MANAGEMENT (11 ECTS).
Develops the skills needed to plan, execute, and manage complex projects from a strategic perspective. The module integrates strategic thinking (Design Thinking), operational planning, financial management, the use of digital tools (Asana, Notion…), and the application of artificial intelligence in workflows (prompting, automation, reporting, data analysis…). It also addresses innovation and change management as key elements for leading projects in dynamic and constantly evolving environments.
-
M3. LEADERSHIP AND HUMAN SKILLS IN CREATIVE TEAMS (11 ECTS).
This module focuses on developing leadership and communication skills to manage creative teams in diverse and changing environments. Students work on coordinating multidisciplinary teams, building collaborative cultures, and managing diversity. It also explores strategic communication, project presentation, and client relationship management, developing key competencies such as active listening, negotiation, and expectation management in real contexts. The module incorporates role-playing dynamics and simulations of real leadership situations, as well as personalized mentoring based on the Strengths-Based Leadership approach, to enhance individual development and the practical application of the skills acquired.
-
M4. FINAL PROJECT (5 ECTS).
The program concludes with an integrative project developed progressively throughout the course. Students apply all acquired knowledge in the planning, management, and presentation of a real project, incorporating strategy, methodology, financial aspects, leadership, and communication. The Final Project is built from the deliverables of each module, ensuring a direct and coherent application of learning in a professional context.
