The Higher School of Design announces the conclusion of a new international agreement with the “Myongji University” of South Korea. This agreement, resulting from ESDi’s recent visit to Seoul last November, marks a significant milestone by establishing the first collaboration in East Asia.
ESDi’s participation in the “Fashion Trend Tour Seoul” project, organized by the Generalitat of Catalonia, through the Consortium of Commerce, Crafts and Fashion of Catalonia (CCAM) and the Catalan Fashion Cluster MODACC, allowed us to explore various opportunities for collaboration with educational institutions. Among them, Myongji University distinguished itself as a leading design institution in Seoul, ranking among the five most prestigious universities in the country.
Founded in 1996, Myongji University is known for offering high-quality academic programs in Industrial Design, Fashion Design and other disciplines taught by distinguished faculty. The university has established collaborations with educational institutions in more than 48 countries, giving its students the opportunity to participate in Design workshops in cities such as Venice, Rome and New York, in partnership with local universities.

This new agreement, formalized in February, represents a valuable opening for ESDi students and faculty, offering the possibility of doing academic exchanges and carrying out studies or classes in the city of Seoul. Likewise, the door is opened to receive students in the Summer Campuses and collaborate on future projects in areas such as Graphic Design, Product Design, Fashion Design and Audiovisual Design.
With this agreement, ESDi consolidates its commitment to internationalization and academic excellence, adding to the more than 50 agreements established with other universities.
