{"id":12329,"date":"2026-05-05T10:30:11","date_gmt":"2026-05-05T08:30:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/esdi.es\/noticias\/esdi-reinterprets-the-art-of-the-sabadell-art-museum\/"},"modified":"2026-05-08T10:10:34","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T08:10:34","slug":"esdi-reinterprets-the-art-of-the-sabadell-art-museum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/esdi.es\/en\/noticias\/esdi-reinterprets-the-art-of-the-sabadell-art-museum\/","title":{"rendered":"ESDI reinterprets the art of the Sabadell Art Museum"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>First-year students of the Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Design have participated in the third edition of the project \u201cRereading art to humanise design\u201d, an educational experience developed together with the Museu d&#8217;Art de Sabadell.<\/h3>\n<p>ESDI and the Museu d&#8217;Art de Sabadell (MAS) have collaborated again on a new edition of the project \u201cRereading art to humanise design. Visions on the collection\u201d, an initiative that invites first-year students of the Degree in Design at ESDI-URL to approach artistic heritage from a contemporary, critical and personal perspective.<\/p>\n<p>The project was developed within the framework of the course Theory and History of Design I, taught by Dr. Marcela Lucci, and proposes a learning approach that extends beyond the classroom. During the process, students were able to delve into the MAS collection, experience its works firsthand, and also access less visible areas of the museum, such as its storage facilities.  <\/p>\n<p>Based on this experience, each student has chosen a work from the collection to research, analyse, and reinterpret it using their own visual language. The result is a set of proposals that establishes a dialogue among past and present, art and design, and heritage and contemporary identity. <\/p>\n<h2>REINTERPRETATIONS<\/h2>\n<p>The reinterpretations address a wide range of themes, including the transformation of landscape and memory, social critique, sustainability, identity, the passage of time, and new forms of protest. Works such as \u201cLluita pels drets\u201d (Struggle for Rights), inspired by Antoni Estruch Bros\u2019s Manifestaci\u00f3 per la Rep\u00fablica (Demonstration for the Republic), update the idea of demonstration from a pluralistic and inclusive perspective. Art thus becomes a starting point for generating new interpretations, while design acts as a tool to activate memory, open conversations, and connect generations. <\/p>\n<p>With this project, ESDI reinforces its commitment to education linked to the cultural, social, and institutional context, in which the museum becomes a space for learning, research, and creation.
