Smart Design Labs
ESDi's Labs are fully equipped laboratories with computer-controlled machines that allow all ESDi students to make (almost) anything. These new Labs are a living project. They are based on a shared knowledge network which distributes ideas and projects in the School.
The 3D Printing Lab, the Virtual Lab in partnership with HP, and the Textile Making Self-Lab are equipped with the latest technology in the field, such as 3D printers, holographic virtual reality and digitalisation of textile and manufacturing processes. Our specialised workshops and labs are equipped to industry standards and are run by highly skilled technicians.
A library specialised in design and art training with more than 8,000 books and 130 magazine titles. The space is open to students, alumni, teachers and administrative staff of the centre. It is also open to people not linked to the institution with prior authorisation.
Since 1998, ESDi has had a bar-restaurant service with capacity for 60 people. It offers breakfast and lunch service with a daily menu that is based on its own balanced diet.
ESDi takes into account that some of the students have a car, so there is a car park at the front area of the school, along with a space for bicycles.
