SHÖPS Barcelona, REC.0 and Sustainable Challenge’22

In recent weeks, the students of the Degree in Design with a mention in Fashion from the ESDi School of Design have participated in different fashion events held in Barcelona: SHÖPS BarcelonaREC.0 and Sustainable Challenge – FADFashion, sustainability and students go hand in hand in these three events characterized by variety and disruption. Some students of our school who graduated in Design with a mention in Fashion have exhibited, presented and/or designed their final projects in these spaces.

Shöps Barcelona

On October 28, 29 and 30, Shöps Barcelona was held, a Design and Gourmet Signature “concept store” located in Drassanes Reials. It is a space for the celebration of independent design in which the objective is to give value to local and emerging designers in the fashion industry. Javier Guijarro and Montserrat Segués, alumni of the ESDi Higher School of Design and graduates in Design with a mention in Fashion, participated. Both students participated with their final projects.

REC.0

From November 9 to 12, REC.0 took place, the eclectic festival of fashion, culture and gastronomy. During this event, designs are exhibited in order to give visibility to the products of local and emerging fashion designers.

It was made up of different spaces, including the “Sustainable Fashion Space” where the fashion design schools of Catalonia exhibited their students’ sustainable fashion creations. The ESDi Higher School of Design had the participation and exhibition of two looks by the alumni Júlia Soler, who graduated in Design with a mention in Fashion.

Sustainable Challenge ‘22

On November 12, MODA-FAD and Design Manchester convened the 4th edition of the Sustainable Challenge at Disseny Hub Barcelona. It’s a parade with an initiative that is committed to design contemplating the diversity of bodies. The protagonists of the looks are design students from Spain and the United Kingdom.

The ESDi Higher School of Design had the participation and creativity of Maria RebujentAnna Ejarque and Inés Fournier Martínez, students of the Degree in Design with a mention in Fashion, who created designs adapted to the needs and bodies of the models.

Marina Vergés, professor of the Master’s Degree in Fashion Styling, Image and Communication at EATM by ESDi, was the curator of the project. In addition, she is the co-founder of Free From Style, an inclusive and adapted clothing brand.
