“Trial and error” is not just a saying. It is an approach that has helped design, both in practice and in theoretical research, to seek answers to human problems at the level of products, goods and services. Working from empathy, creativity, and the construction and testing of prototypes, Design Thinking takes the creativity and sensitivity of the designer as a resource to identify hidden opportunities on a day-to-day basis and turn them into questions or design problems. In this way, understand the user, observe it, generate a “user type”, devise, prototype and test are the points that constitute a methodology that seeks to change the work in design.

description

A few years ago, designers and chefs from New York and London wanted to find space alternatives to exhibit their work and not find themselves tied to fixed rental costs. Pop-up format stores, naturally itinerant and temporary spaces that bet on a different, more attractive and exclusive consumer experience, were born out of that concern. The workshop will seek to introduce students in this store format, demonstrating its applicability not only to the sale of products, but also to the dissemination of cultural content, also investigating aspects such as branding, virality and the involvement of customers or the public.
