Three ESDi students, finalists of the video contest for ‘La Marató de TV3’

The third year ESDi students of the Degree in Design specialty in Multidisciplinary Integration of Design Maria Subirana Vázquez and Laia Pujol Miret, together with the erasmus student Luca Christmann were finalists in the contest “Els zips de La Marató”. It is a joint project of the Catalan Audiovisual Media Corporation (CCMA) and the Professional Audiovisual Association of Catalonia. Its objective is to promote the production of audiovisual content about the disease to which La Marató de TV3 is dedicated among image and sound students.

The videos “A la paella”, “Autoexplora’t, toca’t” and “Antonia” have cancer as a common theme, the protagonist disease of La Marató 2018

In this last edition of the competition, more than twenty professional training centers from all over Catalonia participated, including ESDi. Cancer has been the protagonist disease of La Marató 2018, therefore all students have presented some works with looks, reflections and feelings, in some cases very personal ones, about this illness. Faithful to the spirit of La Marató, the zips have stood out for their informative effort and have focused on aspects such as prevention, research and values to face it, such as friendship and company.

Here we share two of the videos made by our students:

“A la paella” is the short film by ESDi student Laia Pujol and refers to the prevention of skin cancer through a summery video. It compares the act of sunbathing with frying a Norway lobster.

Maria Subirana, for her part, presented “Autoexplora’t, toca’t”. In her short film she wanted to emphasize that self-exploration is essential to preventing breast cancer.

Finally, “Antonia”, the animated proposal of erasmus student Luca Christmann, tells the life of a cancer patient in the hospital, telling what she misses most from her day to day.

Congratulations to Laia, Maria and Luca for their magnificent works!
