The 4th year students of the Degree in Audiovisual Design of the ESDi School of Design participated in the Llum BCN 2023 Festival with the installation “ATN”.
Llum BCN is a festival that takes place every year in Barcelona and is created from a tour of light installations where art and technology are unified. This year, the exhibitions focused on the climate crisis, with a total of 13 professional and 15 school installations. The festival reached 220,000 visitors this year.
Artists such as Vera Molnar, one of the most outstanding and the pioneer of art made with computers, or the Korean collective Kimchi and Chips took part in this benchmark event in Barcelona.
The installation “ATN”, was designed by the students Arnau Aguilar, Júlia Padrissa, Clàudia Pérez, Júlia Ros y Laura Torres, together with tutors Daniel Miracle and Albert Tarrats, won the award for the best context of the event. This award is for the ease with which “ATN” has managed to make complex concepts visible and to do so with a pre-existing structure. “ATN” was installed in the Poblenou neighbourhood from 3 to 5 February 2023.
