22 Nov Degree Fashion Show “Claiming Expression”
Next Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. at Casa Capell (Barcelona), we will celebrate the new edition of the Degree Fashion Show, the event to present the final projects of the latest Graduates in Design with a mention in Fashion at School ESDi Design Superior.
With the title “Claiming Expression”, 12 fashion collections will be paraded that allude to the meaning of how we dress every day. Any question that interests, concerns or moves can serve as a guide to be embodied in a piece and in a collection.
The various collections of the students claim the ability of fashion to stir and to question (at the moment on this small scale) the world. They are inspired by the notion of wisdom. The memory of a place that is no longer and its transformation, the resilience, the temporality of the human being. Sexual freedom, hegemonic masculinity, the cultural textile that generates a sense of belonging, or the notion of evil…
Final Project Degree of Julia Soler and Javier Guijarro
The Fashion Design graduates who will present their collections are: Laura Villar, Encarni Espejo, Julia Soler, Andrea Moreno, Montserrat Segués, Javier Guijarro, Nuria Compte, Andrea Mansilla, Eric González, Marta Nolla, Laura Ibáñez and Pablo Serrano.
Once the parade is over, the three prizes will be awarded to the three best fashion collections, awarded by a professional and academic jury made up of Marta Coca, director of 080 Barcelona Fashion; fashion journalist David Alarcó and Sergio Serrano, stylist and professor at the EATM by ESDi School of Fashion Arts and Techniques.
The fabric company Gratacós will reward the designers of these three collections with a batch of fabrics, while the ESDi will offer the best a scholarship to study the Master’s in Styling, Image and Fashion Communication or the Master’s in Management the Fashion Industry [Sustainable, Ethical and Responsible].
