28 May ESDi participates in the ‘China–Spain Higher Education Forum’
The International Relations department of ESDi was present on May, 20 at the ‘China–Spain Higher Education Forum‘. 68 Spanish and Chinese universities met in Madrid to promote cooperation and mobility between both countries. The meeting was organized by Crue Spanish Universities and the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), with the collaboration of the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE).
Representatives of the three entities insisted on the interest in achieving fruitful academic collaboration between China and Spain. As said Coral Martinez, director of the SEPIE, “it is essential to promote greater and better university cooperation, with the aim of maintaining and building universities of excellence that will contribute to the knowledge societies of tomorrow.”
Thus, the three topics discussed during the China-Spain Higher Education Forum were:
- Technological innovation, research and relations with companies.
- Challenges of internationalization between Chinese and Spanish universities.
- The recruitment of international students and services.
A networking between representatives of Spanish and Chinese universities was the best way to conclude the forum. In this way, the International Relations department of ESDi took the opportunity to make contacts and develop future mobility and cooperation projects.
