11 Jun Barcelona Design Week Masterclass: “Sustainable Design, Recycling and New Technologies”
On, June 11 ESDi and EATM held a masterclass at the Barcelona Design Week where proposals were presented related to sustainability, responsible design, waste recycling related to design and more. As part of the free masterclass, Nuria Acosta and Ane Castro, founders of the ZER brand and winners of the Samsung EGO Innovation contest, did a live demonstration of textile 3D printing.
ESDi professor and CICLUS CEO Tati Guimarães also participated. Guimarães is internationally recognized for her projects of innovative concepts such as “emotional sustainability” and “packaging with second life”. The teacher and entrepreneur taught how to apply eco-design and its unique concepts in their projects.
Gemma Armengol, owner of White Line, a sustainable fashion showroom that works responsibly with local and artisanal production, Santi Mallorquí, of Organic Cotton Colors, a sustainable fabric supplier, and Sylvia Calvo, of Sylvia Calvo BCN and the Sustainable Fashion Association of Barcelona also participated.
